Dear Mrs.Chapman and family. Please accept my condolences on the passing of Dr Chapman.I am one of the original EMTS that were mentioned in Dr.Chapmans obituary. And I can tell you that the EMS services of the Dubuque Fire Department are first rate because of the leadership of Dr. Chapman.Many lives have been saved and injuries lessened because of his influence .The most remarkable thing that I remember about him was the time he would take to teach or explain to me any question that I had.And the amount of respect that people had for him that when he wanted to go forward with something he would say I Think We Need To Do This and because it came from Dr John Chapman everybody was in agreement and it went forward. Dubuque is a better place thanks to John Chapman and he will be missed. Daryl Maroney
