Obituary for Richard W Kenniker

Richard W. Kenniker, 69 of Dubuque died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mueller Memorial Chapel, Linwood Cemetery where visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be in the Linwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
Richard was born September 4, 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Walter and Dorothy (Allen) Kenniker. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1963. He married Judith Ann Oakley on July 13, 1973 in Burns Harbor, Indiana.
Rick was a proud 1963 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. He has been on the reunion committee since they started having reunions every five years. He also managed a web site for the class that kept everybody connected across the country.
Rick was a design engineer for AY McDonald Co. and worked in quality control at Unique Balance. He had an inventive mind and designed many interesting projects.
Richard is survived by his wife, Judy; a son, Channing (fiancé Lisa Linenfelser) Kenniker of Dubuque; a daughter, Jody (Andy) Peavy of Dubuque; two grandchildren, Skylyn Jay Peavy and Joseph Andrew Peavy; a brother, Wayne (Lori) Kenniker of Dubuque; and two sisters, Deb Kenniker of Dubuque and Tamie (Tom) Stull of Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
