Obituary for Clarence F Reisen

Clarence F. "Pa" Reisen, 81, of Dubuque died Friday, July 17, 2015 at his home after a brief battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.
Clarence was born January 3, 1934 in Platteville, Wisc., son of Henry and Florence (Woods) Reisen. At the age of 14 he left home to work on various farms and also worked with horses. He worked for the Dubuque Packing Company for 30 years, retiring in 1982, where he made a lot of great friends. He then became a self employed contractor. He would say "he could fix anything from a broken heart to the break of dawn."
He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. He truly enjoyed spending times with his daughters, and loved all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clarence is survived by his companion, Ruth Boll; his daughter, JoAnn (Ronald) Ludwig and their children, Brian (Emily) Ludwig, their children Harrison, Brooks and Chandler; Julie (Bob) Arnold and their children, Madalynn, Tyler and Kaitlynn; and Keri (Jake) Smith and their children Ellie and Avery; a daughter Jayne (Bill) David and their daughter, Amy; a daughter Janice (Rick Glew) Latham and her children, Codi (Randy) Thul and their children Caleb and Presley; Joe (Alyssa) Latham and their children, Jackson and Annalise, and his son in law Clint Latham. He is also survived by a special great niece and nephew that Clarence and Marie raised, Ginger (Jeremy) Schoop and their children, Tessa, Gracie and Mason; his son, Tony (Natalie) Boll and their son Drew.
Clarence is also survived by Ruth's family, Tim Elliott and his children, Corey (Savannah) Stotlar, Hollie (Adam) Ohnesorge, and Eadie Elliott; Barb (Bob) Callahan and their children, Emily, Meghan, Ryan, Nolan and Luke; and Matt (Alesha) Boll.
Also surviving are his brother Charles (Linda) Reisen, his sister, Marguerite Utiger and many in laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife Marie Reisen; grandson, Phillip David; five brothers, Donald, Melvin, Robert, Henry, and Keith; and four sisters, Catherine, Anna Mae, Emily and Carol.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dubuque Rescue Mission.
