1890 - F. Louis Egelhof establishes the F. Louis Egelhof Undertaking and Art Store at 466 Main Street.

1925 - Al Didesch Sr. takes control of the Voelker - Didesch funeral home after the death of his partner and establishes the Didesch Funeral Home at 1300 Main Street.

1928 - James Ashworth and Merlin Bennett establish the Ashworth & Bennett Funeral Home at 7th and Bluff Street.

1931 - Edwin F. Strueber establishes the Strueber Funeral Home at 1454 Iowa Street.

1934 - F. Louis' son, Louis F. Egelhof purchases the Henry L. Stout (Fannie Stout) house at 1145 Locust Street and 

relocates the funeral home to that location.

1946 - Paul Strueber goes into business with his father at the funeral home.

 

 

1955 - Gene Siegert joins his grandfather James Ashworth at the funeral home.

 

 

1956 - Ed Siegert joins his grandfather and brother at the funeral home.

 

 

1962 - Edmund Siegert establishes the Ed Siegert Colonial Funeral Home at 390 North Grandview Avenue.

 

 

1978 - E. Gene Siegert establishes the Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home at 2659 JFK Road.

 

 

1979 - Paul Strueber merges with the Egelhof Funeral Home to form the Egelhof, Casper & Strueber Funeral Home 

    at 1145 Locust Street.

 

 

1983 - Edmund Siegert and Al Didesch merge to form the Ed Siegert - Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home at 

    390 North Grandview Avenue.

 

 

1997 - The Egelhof, Casper & Strueber Funeral Home merge with the Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home 

    to become the current Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home at 2659 JFK Road.

 

 

1999 - The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home merge with the Ed Siegert - Al Didesch Colonial 

    Funeral Home to become the current Siegert - Didesch Colonial Funeral Home at 390 North Grandview Avenue.
