Condolence: I was fortunate to be in his presence last Thursday at the Mercy ER, as a family member of mine had fallen and broke an elbow. We were commenting still days afterwards on how lovely, kind and attentive he was. What an immeasurable loss to the community, as he was clearly a well loved man who lived a good life. Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Doug’s family and many friends who are suffering from this loss. I was fortunate to have met Doug many years ago while he was the ER doctor at Mercy Hospital. I could not have been happier when I learned that he would be the stepfather to my three children and the influence he has provided them over the years . Doug was a wonderful man and will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him.
