Bonita J.  “Bonnie” Kratz, 87, of Dubuque died Monday, May 02, 2022.  There will be no public visitation.  Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection.  Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. 

Bonnie enjoyed visiting with her family, attending sporting events to support her grandchildren, puzzling during the winter, and in the summer, she loved being outside on her swing.

She is survived by her three children, Kevin (Bobbi Potter) Kratz, Jody, and Tamara Kratz; sister-in-law Millie Schroeder; her six grandchildren, Nelli (RJ) Logan, Isaac (Rachel) Krause, Jacob (Alyssa Giancola) Potter Salwolke, and Amelia, Margaret and Martha Kratz; as well as many great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Donald Kratz; parents, Mary and Fred Schroeder, as well as her brothers and sister in law, Don, Bob and Helen Schroeder; and sister and brother in law, Shirley and Gerry Blankenship.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of her various family pets, a Bonita Kratz Memorial Fund has been established with the proceeds going to the Dubuque Humane Society.
