Obituary for LeRoy Weidemann Jr.
LeRoy "Butch" Weidemann Jr., 83, of Dubuque, died Saturday, December 18, 2021 at home. LeRoy was born on January 28, 1938, the son of LeRoy and Lucille Weidemann Sr. He married Lois Oppelt on October 10, 1959.
LeRoy was a fun-loving and hard-working man, who dedicated his life to helping others. He was a faithful man with a long-standing relationship with God. LeRoy was known for his witty jokes and contagious smile. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
LeRoy is survived by his loving wife, Lois; daughters, Ann (Leif) Haugen and Carolyn (George) Dodd; sisters, Joan Loney and Mary (Jim) Tarzynski; and sisters-in-law, DiAnn, Char and Pat Oppelt. He was a proud grandpa to his grandchildren: Alex, Andrew, Brian, Leif Eric, Makenzie, and Mikayla.
A private celebration of life will be held in the spring.
