Wanda Lou Reynolds, 89, of Dubuque died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Manor
Care Health Services-Dubuque. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where visitation will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Wanda was born October 5, 1924 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, daughter of James Melvin and Lou Willie (Howell) Tindel. She married James Lee Reynolds on March 11, 1950 in Waurika, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1988.

She moved to Dubuque with her family in September of 1969. James was the minister at the Dubuque Church of Christ. Wanda worked at the Carnegie Stout Public Library for eighteen years as the Children's Programmer, retiring in 1987. She became well known in Dubuque as the Storybook Lady. She then worked for 15 years at Scenic Valley Area Agency on Aging in Dubuque as Resident Advocate Committee Coordinator.

She was a member of Bridge Christian Church, Kiwanis Club and an evening reading club. Throughout her life, Wanda loved God, loved her family, loved books and loved Dubuque - the community she called home for 45 years.

Wanda is survived by two children, Jimmy Dean (Marcia) Reynolds, of Barrington, IL and Debra Boyer of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Aaron Boyer, Chelsey (Nick) Heim, Morgen (Edward) Szall and Austin (Megan) Reynolds; a brother, Jerry (Nancy) Tindel; a niece, Tamara (Keith) Welch, and two nephews, Todd (Shelley) Tindel and Trey (Michelle) Tindel.
