Ronald D  Hinzman
Ronald D. Hinzman 67, of Dubuque, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Ennoble Manor Skilled Nursing. Funeral Services will be 1 pm., Friday, August 1, 2014 at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home & Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Rd, conducted by Rev. Penny Thomsen of Hospice of Dubuque, where the family will greet friends starting at 11:30 a.m., till service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery with Military Honors Conducted by Dubuque American Legion Post #6.

Ronald was born September 28, 1946 in Monona, Iowa, the son of Ray and Dorothy (Havelick) Hinzman. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Ronald married Dixie Lynn Ward on July 17, 1993. He retired in December of 1999 after 30 years at John Deere in Dubuque, where he was a member of UAW Local Union 94.
Ronald enjoyed NASCAR Racing, football, watching Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune, cars, especially his 1996 Corvette, trucks, and John Deere tractors.

Survivors include his wife, Dixie; step-children, Tom (Jodi) Johnson of Dubuque, John (Kasia) Johnson of Fulton, NY, and Denise (Val) Kohout of DeForest, WI; step-grandchildren, Josh, Morgan, Lydia and Cole Johnson, Haiden and Grant Johnson, and Carsen Kohout; siblings, Pat (Terry) Meyer, Shirley (Al) Leliefeld, Bob (Donna) Hinzman, Mary Lou (George) Harbaugh, Rick (Deb) Hinzman, and Ray (Linda) Hinzman.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Rosalie Duwe; brothers, Ralph and Roger Hinzman
