Gloria June Williams, 87, of Dubuque Nursing and Rehabilitation Center died Monday, October 20, 2014.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday October 24 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.

Gloria was born on June 3, 1927 in Dubuque, daughter of William and Emma (Blickensdoefer) Lightfoot. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, class of 1945.

Gloria worked at Stamphers Department during high school. She worked at Dubuque Fire Marines and started the Dubuque multiple listing service and Dubuque Board of Realtors as executive secretary from mid 60’s to 80’s.

She married James Dexter Williams on May 15, 1948 at Immanuel Congregational Church.

Gloria spent most of her years playing golf, bowling, cards, bingo and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her son, Gary Williams; four grandchildren, Greg Williams, Brad (Melissa) Williams, Carol (Jason) Tsacudakis, Patti (Justin North) Williams; great- grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kimberly, and Tyler Williams; Alyson Hansel, Lucas and Isabelle Tsacudakis, Hailey Julson, Tyler, Madalyn and Natalie North; brother-in-law, Darald Ferneau of St. Louis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters, Helen (Wemett) Schmitt, Eleanor (Wemett) Ferneau and Violet (Wemett) Hocker.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque and Dubuque Visiting Nurse Association.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque and the nurses and staff of Dubuque Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
