Obituary for Mary C Lightcap (Huss)
Mary Catherine Lightcap, 76, of Dubuque died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where visitation will be held Friday from 3 pm until time of service. Inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mary was born September 29, 1938 in Dubuque, daughter of Raphael and Mary Rita (Sweeney) Huss. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1956. In February of 1959 she married Thomas Lightcap in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Mary worked at JC Penney for 50 years. She was a member of St. Mary's and St. Patrick's Catholic church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lightcap of Dubuque; three children, Deborah (Dean Muenzenberger) Wagner, Mike Lightcap of Beaverton, Oregon, and Mark (Liz) Lightcap of Dubuque; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Tiffany Weipert), Jayson (Tara) and Kyle Wagner; and Erik, Scott, Amy and Audrey Lightcap; two great grandchildren; a brother, David (Rosie) Huss of Dubuque; a sister, Ann (Doug Fehr) Wertzberger of Kansas City, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
