Obituary for Luella A Roth
Luella A. Roth, 92, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Stonehill Care Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Church, were visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Luella was born February 21, 1923 in Sherrill, Iowa, daughter of Jacob and Louise (Lochner) Schmitt. She married Ralph W. Roth September 27, 1947 in Dubuque. He preceded her in death January 19, 1989.
Luella retired from Klauer Manufacturing in 1988. She enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Gary Roth of Mesa, Arizona, Jeni (Mike) Ferring of Dubuque and their children, Matt (Jes), and Nicole Ferring; and Dean (Pam) Roth of Dubuque and their children, Kelly (Russ) Banwarth and Jason Roth; three great grandchildren, Izabel, Lydia and Wesley; a brother, Donald Schmitt and a sister, Dorraine Frick.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
