Obituary for Wayne A Mootz

Wayne A  Mootz
Wayne A. Mootz, 68, of Dubuque died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at UnityPoint Health- Finley Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 5 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road, where a wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Wayne was born on November 9, 1946 in Bellevue, Iowa the son of Oscar and Dorothy (Weber) Mootz of Springbrook, IA.
After High School, he graduated from Business College and then served in the National Guard.
Wayne owned and operated American Office Equipment and Supply for many years.
He was very involved at St. Patrick’s Church, where he served as Eucharistic Minister and on various committees.
Wayne was a good natured man with a great sense of humor. He was a loving uncle who cherished all of his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his brothers, Paul (Judy) Mootz, Michael (Marilyn) Mootz, of Waterloo, IA., Gerald (Jean) Mootz and Stephen (Cathy) Mootz; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and 1 great- great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Karol (Klemme) Mootz.
