Jeannette M. Brenner, 82, of Dubuque died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Dubuque Specialty Care. Funeral services will be 11:30 Thursday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
She was born July 21, 1933 in Galena, Illinois, daughter of Leo and Minnie (Deninger) Bohnsack. She married Jacob Brenner in 1966 in Manchester, Iowa, he preceded her in death in July 2006.
Jeannette was an avid reader, and cared for and nurtured her nine children. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Dubuque Eagle’s Club.
She is survived by eight children; Ken (Jackie) Brenner of East Moline, Ill., Dan (Sandy) Brenner of Dubuque, Kathern (Thomas) Kress of Dyersville, Sharon (Joseph) Amling of Jesup, Iowa, Jacob John (Donna) Brenner Jr. of Amherst, Wisc., Joseph (Lucy) Brenner of Hanover, Ill, John Brenner of Dubuque and, Jeff Brenner of Dubuque; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Melody Villa; two brothers, Vernon and Norman Bohnsack; a sister, Marion Davis and a granddaughter, Maggie Kress.
Memorials may be made to Jeannette Brenner Memorial Fund.
