Obituary for Stephen M Maiers
Stephen M. "Oscar" Maiers, 64, of Dubuque died Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where there will be a parish wake service at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Parish, Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Oscar was born July 13, 1951 in Holy Cross, Iowa, son of Jerome and Benedetta (Giunta) Maiers.
He graduated from Wahlert Catholic High School in 1969 and worked for Eagle Window and Door for over 25 years.
Oscar enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He was a fan of the Cubs and Bears.
Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Maiers of Dubuque; his former spouse, Deanna Boardman of Dubuque and his special friend, Sherrian "Sharon" Walton of Dubuque.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
