Richard R Gleason
Richard R. “Rick” Gleason, 64, of Dubuque, IA, passed away on October 3, 2016, surrounded by his family.

A visitation will take place at The Church of the Nativity, Dubuque, IA, on October 6, 2016, from 4 - 6 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass at 6 pm. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road is in charge of the arrangements.

Rick was born August, 8 1952, in Monticello, IA, to George and Irene (Cigrand) Gleason. He married Linda Larkin on August 8, 1975, in Garryowen, IA.

He and Linda moved back to Iowa where Rick worked at the Youth Law Center in Des Moines. He then became the managing attorney at Legal Services in Dubuque, IA. Rick enjoyed nothing more than cheering on his children, and he never missed a game or meet. They all made him immensely proud. He was also the assistant coach/water boy for the Hotshots girls traveling soccer team. He taught his children that helping others created more value in your life than any paycheck, to try to understand the whys of life and each others' actions, and always made them feel like they were making the world a better place.
