Dorothy M. Schneider 91, of Dubuque, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital. Private services will be held at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Rd.
Dorothy was born on November 9, 1922 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elmer and Lela James. Dorothy married Howard J. Schneider and the two enjoyed 52 wonderful years together. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the role of homemaker. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her 3 children, Don, Dennis and Linda all of Dubuque and 2 grandchildren, Joseph and Michele also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard; daughter-in-law Kathy; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Bob) and Garnetta (Ben) and 4 brothers, Allen, Eugene, Robert and Jack.
