Obituary for Jeanette Schreiber (Frommelt)

Jeanette H. Schreiber, 85, of Dubuque died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at home. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where a parish wake service will be held at 7 pm. Funeral services will be10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
Jeanette was born March 20, 1929 in Guttenberg, Iowa, daughter of Raymond and Amelia (Burr) Frommelt. She Graduated from St. Mary's High School in Guttenberg and attended Clarke College.
On June 10, 1950, Jeanette married Robert Schreiber at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg. She worked for O'Connor, Thomas, McDermott and Wright Law Offices, the Dubuque Community School System, and Manpower Work Services. Her most important job was being a mother.
She was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She was a great seamstress who did a lot of sewing and needlework.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Robert Schreiber of Dubuque; three children, Dr. Ann Schreiber; Maryellen (Glen) Thompson of Roanoke, Virginia, and their son Lt.JG Andrew Ferring; Jim (Renee) Schreiber and their children, Zachary Schreiber, Martha Schreiber R.N., and Andrea (Dr. James) Quann; and great -grandchildren, Brendan and Thomas Quann; three siblings, Rosemary Matt, Ruth Von Fumetti, and Esther (Fran) Goedken; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Amy, and bothers- in- law Francis Matt and Cyril Von Fumetti.

The family would like to thank the great ladies at Twenty Four Hour Care and the doctors, nurses and staff at Medical Associates Clinic, Hospice of Dubuque and Mercy Medical Center.
