Obituary for Zachary J McPoland
Zachary J. McPoland, 31, of Dubuque died Saturday, April 9, 2016. A memorial service will be held 7 pm Saturday at Blades Chapel, University of Dubuque where friends may call Saturday from 2 pm until time of
service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Zachary was born September 16, 1984 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Patrick McPoland and Victoria Allendorf.
Zachary’s favorite thing in life was spending time with his daughter Evelyn. He loved music, playing guitar, the outdoors and cooking. He was a passionate fan of the Hawkeyes ,Pantera and Batman. He had a wicked sense of humor. He was a loyal friend and was passionate about helping people in recovery. He was metal.
He is survived by his mother, Vicki (Todd Kershner) Allendorf of Dubuque; brother, Taylor (fiancée Jamie Murphy) and their children, Adriana Murphy, Gage McPoland and Jax McPoland, all of Dubuque; brother Connor Kramer; daughter Evelyn Blakeman of Dubuque; special friend, Lori Kilcoyne of Bellevue; grandparents, Terry Allendorf of Dubuque, Connie Allendorf of Galena, Ill., and Jack and Betty McPoland of Epworth; aunts and uncles, Wende (Steve) Yonda of East Dubuque, Dean Allendorf of Alpharetta, Georgia., Mark (Jodie) McPoland of Epworth, Lori (Gary) Milledge of Dubuque and Jody (Doug) Warden of Dubuque; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick McPoland; brother Terry McPoland; and great grandparents and great aunts and uncles.
