Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Darrell Barker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Darrell was my first cousin. His birth mother and mine were sisters. We hadn't seen each other for several years. I always had a lot of respect for him. We send much love and sympathy to Susan and his family. I am sure he will be missed.

Condolence: It was a real privilege for me getting know Darrell as well as to provide direct care for him during his time at Stonehill Franciscan Services. He was always so appreciative and personal in his communication with you no matter how small the request. His kind and respectful spirit lingers in my heart. In reading his obituary, he needs to be commended for life work and services to the community of Dubuque. He truly lived a full life. My compassion and empathy to his wife and family. My work schedule does not permit me to be present for the scheduled times of visitation. God be with you and bless you over your loss of this beloved man.
