The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Phillips can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Bob and Micki Hurst

Dear Family, It is with a heavy feeling of loss and sadness that we are writing this, to express our deepest sympathies to all of you on the passing of your husband,father,father-in-law and grandpa and our dear brother-in-law. While we are all on the same road to our own heavenly home and knew that your Bob was getting closer to his, it still comes as a sudden, earthly finality when the day arrives. We have many gentle, loving memories of Bob as a family member, friend, dedicated husband, father and provider. One of the reasons we enjoyed going to Dubuque was we felt so at ease being with your family in a strong Christian environment. We know how dedicated he was to the church and, in his quiet way, to the Lord. We will all miss him and remember him dearly. What comfort we can take in knowing that he is celebrating this Easter in the arms of his Lord, breathing easy in his eternal home. What a glorious reunion awaits us! What a great God in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died and rose again for us and the promise is that because He rose from the dead, we shall rise also. With our deepest sympathies and love, Bob and Micki
