Marilyn Jane Kelley, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Des Plaines, Ill., and La Crosse, Wisc. died Tuesdsay, September 23, 2014 at home in Dubuque. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road, Dubuque. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 26 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1755 Delhi, Dubuque, where friends may also call Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery.

Marilyn was born on March 24th 1938 in Mount Horeb, WI, the first of four children born to Rolf and Ida (Mickelson) Antonson. She was baptized in the East Blue Mounds church during the last service in that parish spoken in Norwegian. She attended Blue Valley country school before the family moved to Dodgeville in 1951. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1955.

Marilyn graduated from the nursing school at Madison General Hospital in 1958. She served as a nurse for 45 years during her long and rewarding career.
Her nursing career included many years of service at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL and Holy Family Hall in Dubuque. She retired from Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI in 2003.

Marilyn married James Patrick Kelley on April 23,1960 at St. Raphael's Chapel, Madison, WI. This loving couple was blessed with four children. He preceded her in death in 1967. The family moved from Des Plaines, IL to Hazel Green, Wisc. in 1977.

Marilyn is survived by her children Lisa (Steve) Saucke, Boscobel, Deirdre (Scott) Dalsing, Dubuque, and Tim (Kathleen) Kelley, Lincolnshire, IL; seven grandchildren, Michael (Katya), and Kimberley Kelley, Tighe, Taylor and Tierney Dalsing, and Sean and Keira Kelley; two great grandsons, Aiden James Kelley and his brother due next week; a step grandson, Bryan (Melissa) Saucke; two brothers, Lyle (Mary Ann) Antonson, and Dennis (Becky) Antonson, both of Dodgeville, WI, and a sister, Julie Antonson, Prairie du Chien, WI.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Daniel, in 1977, and her parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque, or the Marilyn Jane Kelley Memorial Nursing Scholarship, Southwest Tech Foundation, Fennimore, Wisc.
