Condolence: Aunt Mary was so special to so many people. I will never forget her beautiful handwriting. She was talented, thoughtful and considerate. We were blessed to have her until age 93.

Condolence From: S Catherine Jean Hayen, BVM
Condolence: Dear family, I wish to extend my sympathy and prayers as you celebrate Mary's life and entrance into eternal life. I taught with Mary at St. Anthony school in Dubuque 1979 - 1987. What a joy. We were also blessed to have her as a BVM Associate for nearly 20 years.

Sorry to be out of town for her funeral services.

My sympathy and prayers, S Catherine Jean, BVM

Condolence From: Family of Karl Spoden
Condolence: We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Mary Lehnhoff Family. Karl would often call his Aunt Mary over the years and recall old times. He has some very fond memories of Mary and his late wife, Florence, working together at the University of Dubuque when they first started their teaching careers.

Condolence From: Judy Bailey
Condolence: I have moved to Duluth, MN, this summer but would certainly join you for the funeral if I were still in Dubuque. I met Mary when she was a tutor at St. Mark Center for several years as we were just starting the program. She used her years as a teacher to continue benefiting the children with whom she worked and all of us as we tweaked a very new venture. One time she shared with the group that she had been the teacher in a one-room school (in Centralia, I think) which is located at the Hamm House. When we took a field trip to that location the next summer, the children remembered that connection. God's peace to you as you give thanks for her life and mourn her loss. Judy
