Scott S. Gulyash, 41, of Sunrise, Florida and formerly of Dubuque, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at University Hospital and Medical Center, Tamarac, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd.
Scott was born on April 16, 1973 in Dubuque, the son of Joseph J. and Barbara J. (Flynn) Gulyash.
He graduated from St. Anthony’s grade school and Wahlert High School and attended the University of Iowa.
He has resided in Florida since 1994.
Scott had a magnetic personality, a bright smile and infectious laugh that drew many people to him and created life- long friends. He was a Chicago Cub, Iowa Hawkeye and Dallas Cowboy fanatic.
Surviving are his parents, Joe “Jay” and Barbara (Flynn) Gulyash, of Dubuque; brother, Jay J. Gulyash and sister-in-law Rebekah H. Gulyash, of Washington, D.C.; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stephen and Julia Gulyash and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Madonna Flynn.
In lieu of flowers a Scott S. Gulyash memorial fund has been established.
Our heartfelt thank you to the many people who loved Scott.
