The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Scott Gulyash can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

God takes only the best

There are so many stories, and it is those memories that will take me thru the rest of my days.  For the last 13 years since my dad passed, of the 17 years we've known each other, you have been the mastermind to replace my dad and tell me which teams the Packers needed to win and/or lose to help them in the hunt for the play-offs.  To whom do I turn now?  I've already proven I can't do it myself.  The two of you will probably be looking down on me, yucking it up as I stumble thru this like a goof.

You had a way with strangers.  You made everyone feel welcome, wanted and loved.  You were the bright spot at any event.

I guess the funniest vignette goes back to the beginning, when I'd tease you about "De-Puke."  I would interject a family historical of how we'd spend a whole day driving from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, stopping off at Grant's home in Galena, just to stretch our legs, the finally reach our ultimate destination of Timmerman's for catfish.

The night you met my parents and I introduced my dad and explained that he was the brainchild behind this trek across Illinois, you said, "but Cat, Timmerman's is in East Dubuque.  That's not Iowa.  That's Illinois."  My dad, agreed, saying, "He's got you on that one."  Goodness knows how long you held on to that remark before you found the right time to unleash it on me.

So, so many things, I'll miss.  I'm glad we made it up to Lambeau when we did!!

Safe journeys, Fair winds, your pal,

Cat-amaran, Cat-alog, Cat-Ballou, Cat-Scan and all the other ones you could think of.  xxoo
