The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Selma Masey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Childhood Memories

I have many fond memories of “Aunt” Selma and my Grandma Kane growing up in Dubuque.  One of the most prominent ones would be attending church services with both of them at St. Paul on Saturday evenings.  But I also remember several occasions making short visits to her and Blair’s house; the sunshine that flowed through the windows in what I believe was the kitchen.  And I remember her visits when Grandma Kane was living in her apartment in town.  It seemed like she was always delivering or picking something up for someone.  I will always think of “Aunt” Selma as someone who helped others.
