Richard Dick J. Weber, 71,of Dubuque, died peacefully on February 22, 2012, at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 pm Friday, March 2, at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2659 Kennedy Road. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at St. Raphaels Cathedral.
Richard was born November 5, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of James and Carol (Rolling) Weber. He graduated from Loras Academy and Marquette University. He began working at Weber Paper Company at age eleven and continued working there in various capacities for sixty years.
He married Kathleen Weber on July 10, 1965, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Dubuque, Iowa. They were blessed with two sons.
Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Kathleen, and their two sons, Steven (Alison) of Harrisville, New Hampshire, and Jay (Diana) of Centennial, Colorado. They were also blessed with four grandchildren, Madison, Randall, Caitlin, and Nicholas Weber.
Also surviving are his sister, Jeanne Lauritsen of Dubuque; two brothers, David (Amy) of East Dubuque and Jim (Jane) Weber of Farley; his in-laws, Nancy Noonan, Phil (Joan) Weber, Charles (Mariann) Weber, Russ (Cathy) Weber, all of Dubuque, Maddie Reno-Weber of Louisville, Kentucky, Mark (Trish) Weber of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jim (Terri) Weber of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Friends of Dubuque County Conservation Endowment at Dubuque Community Foundation, or Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
